02 — The Challenge

What needed to change

Before partnering with Raqmiat, Sensor SA faced significant operational and compliance risks stemming from a lack of a structured, integrated accounting system. As ZATCA’s e-invoicing mandates tightened, the urgency to get fully compliant became critical.

Key Pain Points

  • No Structured Accounting Platform — Financial transactions were managed without a centralized, compliant accounting system, creating audit risk and data inconsistency.
  • Saudi VAT & Tax Compliance Gaps — Company profile, VAT registration number (TRN), and tax configurations were not formally set up in any system, exposing the business to compliance risk.
  • Fatoora E-Invoicing Not Configured — ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing was not implemented, putting Sensor SA at risk of regulatory non-compliance with Saudi Arabia’s mandatory e-invoicing requirements.
  • Scattered Master Data — Customer and vendor records, chart of accounts, and opening balances existed in disparate spreadsheets with no single source of truth.
  • No Opening Balance Baseline — Financial history had not been formally posted into any system, making it impossible to generate accurate reports or trial balances.
  • Manual Transaction Processing — Every invoice, payment, and journal entry was handled manually with no automation, increasing processing time and error risk.
In Their Words

“We needed our accounting to be compliant with Saudi VAT and Fatoora e-invoicing from day one. Raqmiat Tech set everything up correctly and made sure our team knew how to use it.”
